How the AI Token Leaderboard Works
- Connect your identity — Sign in with GitHub or Google OAuth. This creates your public profile and handle on the leaderboard.
- Link your AI account — Paste an API key from OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Grok, or GitHub Copilot. One read-only verification call confirms the key is real.
- Log burns and compete — After each session, log your token counts. Verified burns are marked with a checkmark and count toward your AI token leaderboard rank.

Which AI tools are supported?

Is my API key stored securely?
Yes. API keys are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM. We only use your key for a single verification call to confirm it is valid — we never read your prompts or conversation history.
How is token usage verified?
When you connect an API key, BurnRank makes one read-only API call to confirm the key is active. Burns you log are marked verified if you have a connected provider account. OpenAI and Anthropic admin keys enable automatic usage sync.
Can I delete my account and data?
Yes. Go to Settings and your account, all burns, API keys, and profile data are permanently deleted within 24 hours.
How often does usage sync?
OpenAI and Anthropic admin keys sync usage automatically. All other providers require manual entry — you enter token counts after each session.
Why do I need to sign in with GitHub or Google?
OAuth identity verification prevents fake accounts from gaming the AI token leaderboard rankings. We receive only your name and email — we never post on your behalf or read your repositories.
